Rick Hernandez(Big Rig Gearhead)

About Rick:

Rick has worked in industrial and mobile sales for over 20 years. In his time, he has had the pleasure of working with accounts like PACCAR, TORO, Cummings, Fastenal, MSC and Grainger, just to name a few. Rick took a detour along the way, leaving the big city and giving dairy farming a go. During this time, he had 50 head of cattle, mixed between Jerseys and Hosteins.

Rick’s favorite part about working with customers is adding that personal touch, which he feels is the most important ingredient in the sales process. He loves meeting people and making new friends. Nothing is better to him than helping his customer find that perfect solution!

Rick says, “Alkon exists to provide a positive experience to customers, backed by friendly and profession people with a product that provides durability while helping achieve a lower total cost of ownership.”

Rick knows his way around a big rig, previously owning 2 tractors of his own. He is often found helping his brother perform repairs on these to this day. Most recently, he found himself replacing an air compressor and finding that his less than reputable air fittings were leaking. In his spare time, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys.
